Description

Built on a high-performance, cell-based architecture, the PathBuilder S600 WAN access switch optimizes adaptation and concentration of many types of applications traffic. Individual application modules provide native interfaces to a variety of campus networking technologies such as LANs, muxes, routers, SNA applications, business video, and PBXs. Each application module adapts communications traffic to ATM and transports it across the PathBuilder S600 switch cell bus to the appropriate trunk interface connections, which offer a comprehensive range of campus and wide area ATM interface types.
