Description
The Passport 8393SF module is optimized for high-performance switching of Layer 2/3/4 traffic. The module has eight built-in Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) GBIC uplinks that provide simpler space saving connectivity to the network core. When two Passport 8393SFs are installed in a chassis, all 16 SFP GBIC ports are active. The switch fabric module also has a console port that can be used for out-of-band management.
