Description
The 3Com Switch 7700R starter kit provides the foundation for delivering performance, security and quality of service in a modular eight-slot chassis. The starter kit contains an 8-slot redundant-ready chassis with pre-installed dual power supplies, a fan assembly, and the switch fabric.
The backplane provides interconnection for all areas of the switch. Management and control signals, high-speed data signals, and power for the modules are transmitted over the backplane.
Fan and power supply monitoring signals are transmitted to the switch fabric via the backplane.
