Description
The SuperStack II Hub 10 family of Ethernet Hubs provide the flexibility and economy of stackable hubs, with a variety of enhancement possibilities with modules for different backbone connections, management, and bridging capabilities. Designed for growing workgroups, these hubs integrate easily with other SuperStack II system devices for remote office connectivity, high-performance switching, and optional redundant or uninterruptible power. You can take advantage of the robust feature set of these hubs with a low initial investment, then easily increase port density and add comprehensive RMON or advanced RMON management and bridging/switching capabilities as you network needs increase.
This hub is the ST Fiber model in the SuperStack II Hub 10 line, offering 6 ST Fiber ports along with a standard AUI port or slot for a slide-in interface module. With this model, you are not able to use the AUI port and the slide-in interface port at the same time. The interface port can accommodate transceiver modules that will allow connections including BNC coaxial, male AUI, female AUI, UTP, and 10Base-FB. There is an unmanaged Bridge Micro Module that will provide simple bridging, and also a management module that can be added to any one hub in the stack for RMON support over the entire stack. Up to eight units can be stacked in a managed or unmanaged configuration to form a single logical repeater.
