Description

GBIC (Gigabit Interface Converter) is an industry standard modular transceiver solution for Gigabit Ethernet. This increases flexibility of design options. The single-port Gigabit Ethernet module supports a Gigabit Interface Converters (GBICs) interface, allowing a variety of media type support: 1000BASE-SX (62.5 and 50 micron MMF), 1000BASE-LX (62.5 and 50 micron MMF), 1000BASE-LX SMF, and a future 1000BASE-TX transceiver.
